This is the personal logbook of Lieutenant Axel T. Swanson from his tour(s) on the attack troop ship the USS President Jackson, in the South Pacific from the time the ship was commissioned in Portland, Oregon, til its last voyage home to Portland near the end of World War II. It's not all in chronological order since I first found one log, then the other two (one partly finished) a good while later. I'd recommend having a map of the South Pacific handy, preferably one dating back to WW II if you can find one. I'm going to TRY to create a list of ships involved, and where I can figure it out, which country each belonged to. And lots of time.
